Kye Rowel

Kye Rowel joined Roger C. Perry & Co. in 2018 and serves as the Portfolio Manager. She is an accomplished Manager with over 20 years of multifamily property management experience. During this time, she afforded the opportunity to work in conventional housing as well as affordable. She previously held her real estate license in the state of Alabama and is currently pursuing her license here in Ohio. Kye is known for being a change agent, problem solver, effective communicator, and relationship builder.  She has a passion for helping others and is very active in her church and the community. Most importantly she is a proud mother to her five children. 

Travis Smith

Travis Smith has been the Chief Operating Officer of Roger C. Perry & Co. since 2019. Mr. Smith graduated from Cedarville University in 2009 with a degree in Business Marketing. After an All-American career on the Yellow Jacket track and field team which saw him win a National Championship, Mr. Smith founded V.I.P. Waste Services in Columbus, Ohio. V.I.P. was the leading provider of doorstep trash and recycling pickup for apartment communities in the Midwest and served over 30,000 apartment units weekly. In 2018, Mr. Smith made a successful exit from the business as V.I.P. was acquired by Valet Living, the largest provider of apartment amenity services in the U.S.

Mr. Smith holds a real estate sales license in the state of Ohio and is an active member in the real estate and multifamily industry. He has served as Chairman of the Associate Council of the Columbus Apartment Association as well as being a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of the Columbus Apartment Association. In addition, Mr. Smith serves on the Budget and Finance Committee of Prevent Blindness Ohio.

Mr. Smith is very active and regularly enjoys martial arts, basketball, and tennis. He also actively serves in his church and is an accomplished speaker and supporter of young entrepreneurs and underprivileged youth. Although he enjoys many hobbies, Mr. Smith finds the most joy in spending time with his wife and 4 children.

Teresa Burgess

Teresa Burgess has been employed at Roger C. Perry & Co. since 1986.  Ms. Burgess has broad experience in all aspects of Roger C. Perry & Co.’s accounting operations and currently oversees the department. In particular, Ms. Burgess has extensive experience in cash management, both accounts payable and receivables and acts as a liaison to our certified public accountant for financial planning, preparation and tax reporting.

Kerry Drake

Kerry Drake is the head of maintenance and property operations for Roger C. Perry & Co.  Mr. Drake has over 40 years of maintenance and construction experience, including over 25 years in property and maintenance management experience.  He is active in the Columbus Apartment Association (CAA) and sits on various CAA committees.  He holds numerous licenses including licenses for exterminating, lead based paint remediation and general contracting.  In addition, he is heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) certified.  Prior to entering property management and maintenance, Mr. Drake served in the Navy for four years and, during his time in the Navy, fought in the Vietnam War.

Fred Damsen

Fred Damsen has been co-owner and chief operating officer of Roger C. Perry & Co. since 1997.  He graduated from University of California, Davis in 1988, received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern in 1993 and holds both a real estate sales and real estate brokers license in the state of Ohio.  Mr. Damsen has extensive experience in buying, selling and investing in investment real estate.  Prior to Roger C. Perry & Co., Mr. Damsen was a product manager for Kohler Co. in Wisconsin and a Business Banking Officer for Wells Fargo in California.  Mr. Damsen is a member of CCIIR (Columbus Commercial, Industrial, & Investment Realtors), a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), and a certified CAM finance instructor.  In addition, Mr. Damsen was Board Chair of Columbus Urban Growth (the non-profit development arm of the City of Columbus), past Board Chair of Northland Alliance (a non-profit company overseeing the economic development and redevelopment of the Northland and Morse Road areas of Columbus, OH) and is currently trustee of the Morse Road Special Improvements District in Columbus, OH.  He is very active with the Columbus Apartment Association (CAA).  He served as president of the CAA from 2012-2014. In addition to serving on the board of trustees, he is also a member of the CAA executive committee, nominating committee, on the CAA Foundation Board and is on the board of trustees for the Serenity Street Foundation and serves as its treasurer.

Rebecca Perry Damsen

Rebecca Perry Damsen has 30 years of property management and real estate investing experience.  She has been co-owner and president of Roger C. Perry & Co. since 1997.  She graduated from Smith College in 1987, received her MBA from Indiana University in 1992, and holds a real estate license in the state of Ohio.   After graduating from Smith College, she was actively involved in managing multiple condominium sites in the Boston, Massachusetts area as property manager for Saunders & Associates (Now Saunders Real Estate Inc.).  In addition to leading Roger C. Perry & Co., Ms Damsen has been very involved in community and civic service.  She is past president of the Columbus Apartment Assocation (CAA), currently a trustee of the CAA, and serves on both the Public Policy Committees and is a past president of the Board of Friends of WOSU Public Media., Ms. Damsen serves on the board of Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC)—a nonprofit organization whose mission is to celebrate the diversity of the cartoon arts and their creators across genres and forms and to highlight Columbus and its comics community for the world.
